Ambassador Lee visited Padma Multipurpose Bridge construction site for supervision

Ambassador Lee’s visit to Padma Multipurpose Bridge construction site and Dhaka-Mawa Expressway (N8) on December 14th 2021.
Ambassador Lee visited Padma Multipurpose Bridge construction site, in which Korea Expressway Corporation (KEC) and Pyeong Hwa Engineering are in charge of construction supervision consultancy, and met with Korean engineers working at the site, said a recent release of the embassy.
The Korean Government, through KOICA, is supporting the establishment of ITS (Intelligent Transport System) in the Dhaka-Mawa section of the N8 Expressway which is linked to the Padma Multipurpose Bridge under the project of “Improving the Reliability and Safety in National Highway Corridors of Bangladesh by Introduction of ITS” with total cost of 8.93 million US dollars between 2020 and 2023.
The provision of Korean companies’ quality supervision consultancy to Bangladesh’s prime national project, together with the KOICA’s technical cooperation projects involving ICT technology, will make a meaningful contribution to Bangladesh’s grand vision of socio-economic development.a
