Diaspora Event organized by the Bangladesh Embassy in Oman

The Embassy of Bangladesh organized a Diaspora Event on the occasion of the Birth Centenary of the “Father of the Nation” and the Golden Jubilee of the country to appreciate the role of Bangladeshi origin businessmen in Oman who are contributing to the expansion trade and investment in both Bangladesh and Oman.
Highlighting on the enviable economic growth that has been gained for over a decade the Ambassador speaking at the event organized in honour of the nonresident Bangladeshi CIPs (commercial important persons) at a hotel in Muscat, Saturday 20th November 2021 urged the Bangladeshi Business leaders in the Sultanate/GCC and rest of the world to invest in the various promising sectors in Bangladesh (industrial, Agricultural, Medical, Education and IT sectors) by taking advantage of the lucrative and very competitive incentives offered by the Government of Bangladesh and thus achieve the national goals and the dream of the “Father of the nation”, He reminded the businessmen of their sheer responsibilities to create more employment opportunities.
He also encouraged the Bangladeshi CIPs to utilize the various incentive and strategic location of the Sultanate and thus also contribute to its economy.
The Event celebrated the formation of a newly elected executive committee of CIPs who have lately been adjudged by the Government of Bangladesh (GoB) for their roles in national development (remitting foreign exchange to Bangladesh, import of Bangladeshi merchandises to their country of residence).
In his speech, the President of the association, Mahtabur Rahman, an eminent businessman and Chairman of Al Haramain Perfumes Group, based in Dubai, UAE; expressed his deep gratitude to the Ambassador, the Embassy of Bangladesh for arranging the gala event in Muscat and the GoB for facilitating their needs.
The event was also attended by Ambassadors from a number of countries, Omani officials, dignitaries and embassy officials.
