Japan grant for “The Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship”
Dhaka December 22 2021 :
On 22 December, 2021 H.E Mr. ITO Naoki, Ambassador of Japan to Bangladesh, Mr. HAYAKAWA Yuho, Chief Representative, JICA Bangladesh Office and Ms. Fatima Yasmin, Secretary, Economic Relations Division (ERD), Ministry of Finance signed an exchange of note and Grant Agreement on “The Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship” representing the respective governments.
The purpose of the project is to support the young promising Bangladeshi government officials to acquire skills and knowledge necessary to make public policies through rigorous research in the relevant master’s or doctor’s programs in Japan.
Thereby contributing to strengthen the bilateral partnership. This year marked the 20th anniversary of JDS scholarship in Bangladesh. To date, 457 Bangladeshi government officials have studied in Japan in this 20 years.
২২ ডিসেম্বর “হিউম্যান রিসোর্স ডেভেলপমেন্ট স্কলারশিপ” প্রকল্প বাস্তবায়নের লক্ষ্যে অনুদান চুক্তি এবং চুক্তিপত্রে স্বাক্ষর করেছেন বাংলাদেশে নিযুক্ত জাপানের রাষ্ট্রদূত জনাব ইতো নাওকি, জাইকা বাংলাদেশের চিফ রিপ্রেজেনটেটিভ ইউহো হায়াকাওয়া এবং অর্থ মন্ত্রণালয়ের অর্থনৈতিক সম্পর্ক বিভাগের সচিব ফাতিমা ইয়াসমিন। প্রকল্পের লক্ষ্য হলো দেশের তরুণ ও উদ্যোমী কর্মকর্তাদের জাপানে মাস্টার্স ও পিএইচডি ডিগ্রির মাধ্যমে অর্জিত দক্ষতা নিজ দেশের নীতি নির্ধারণে কাজে লাগানো এবং এর মাধ্যমে দু’দেশের অংশীদারিত্ব আরো দৃঢ় করা । এ বছর বাংলাদেশে জেডিএস স্কলারশিপের ২০ বছর পূর্তি উদযাপন করা হয়েছে। এ পর্যন্ত ৪৫৭ বাংলাদেশি সরকারি কর্মকর্তা জাপানে শিক্ষা গ্রহণ করেছেন।
