KOICA contributing to the socio-economic development of Bangladesh

Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) has donated 8 H1 Hyundai Ambulances amounting to USD 355,080 under KOICA’s ‘Strengthening Quarantine Capacity against COVID-19 and other infectious diseases’ to Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) on 30th November, 2021 in DGHS, Mohakhali.
The handover ceremony was graced by H.E. Mr. Lee Jang-keun, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Bangladesh, Ms. Young-Ah Doh, Country Director, KOICA Bangladesh Office, Dr. Abdul Bashar Mohammad Khurshid Alam, Director General, Directorate General of Health Services, Dr. Meerjady Sabrina Flora, Additional Director General (Planning), DGHS, Dr. Ahmedul Kabir, Additional Director General (Administration), DGHS, Dr. Farid Hossain Miah, Director (Hospital), DGHS among other officials.
The highly advanced ambulances are equipped with first aid medical box, medical oxygen facilities, personal protective equipment and other emergency related accessories. The ambulances directly shipped from the Republic of Korea create new standards from design to safety, said a release of the Koica Bangladesh.
This gift of The Republic of Korea through KOICA reflects its sustainable commitment in contributing to the socio-economic development of Bangladesh.
