Dhaka Russian Embassy celebrated the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Bangladesh

Embassy of the Russian Federation in the People’s Republic of Bangladesh organized a program in commemoration of the Birth Centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Golden Jubilee of the Independence of Bangladesh and the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Bangladesh.
Besides, the embassy celebrated ‘Unity Day’ by organizing exhibition on collected works of great poets, arts and traditional Russian Cossack musical performance in the city on Thursday.
Ambassador of the Russian Federation H.E Alexander Mantytskiy inaugurated the ceremony while National Perliament Speaker Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, India High Commissioner to Bangladesh Vikram Doraiswami, Distinguished Fellow at the Centre for Policy Dialogue , Debapriya Bhattacharya, Industry Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, Minister for Liberation War Affairs of Bangladesh AKM Mozammel Haque, Minister of Religious Affairs Md Faridul Haq Khan, DSCC Mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, DMP Comissioner Shafiqul Islam, Asadujjaman Noor, Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujon, among others, took part in the ceremony.
During the event, an eight member Cossack Choir performed traditional Russian songs.
ROSATOM also exhibited photos on nuclear energy, arranged games and quizzes on atomic power during the program.
Diplomats, Intellectuals, Administrative Officials, Journalists and Embassy insiders and Russians living in Bangladesh were also present in the program.
